Sexual Harassment in the Workplace
Summary
I decided to use sexual harassment as a focus item and subject for my most recent business law class. Sexual harassment is a serious violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It is intended to hold violators responsible & companies should be aware of how to prevent & mitigate the damage from instances like this.
This video covers the basics of understanding the severity of sexual harassment in the workplace. I was able to analyze data from government websites such as the EEOC & I evaluated case studies to identify realistic occurences. My business law classes have been some of my favorite classes.
I created a thorough analysis on how sexual harassment can create a decline in employee morale and this ultimately affects performance. It's important that employees know that their complaints will be handled if another employee or their manager makes them uncomfortable.
